Antecedent Information
Ask me no questions, I'll tell you no lies.

Pasadena, California is the home of many interesting institutions, the Tournament of Roses, The Rose Bowl, Jet
Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology, The Norton Simon Museum and last but not least the
Flying A Garage. As a precautionary note, do not expend your time searching for the Flying A Garage in the
Automobile Club Tour Book. You will not find it there.

The Flying A Garage, nestled in the foothills of the majestic San Gabriel Mountains, is the home of a private
collection of American Classic Automobiles with a few foreign classics thrown in for good measure. The automobiles
featured on this web page are NOT FOR SALE! So do not waste your time asking.

The Flying A Garage supports the Petersen Automotive Museum, Classic Car Club of America, Cadillac LaSalle
Club, ACD, Packards International, PAC, Buick Owners Association  and the Rolls-Royce Owners Club. The
automobiles listed have been exhibited at various Concours D' Elegance throughout the United States. There is a
brief biography with each car, the accuracy of which is not guaranteed.

Thank you for visiting The Flying A Garage! Any comments or questions can be sent via e-mail using the Contact
link low.
Whats New At the Flying A Garage
A feeble attempt to share our latest trials and tribulations.

Sunday - 1/10/10 - Traveled to the LaJolla Motor Classic. The 1930 Cadillac V16 Roadster was exhibited and
received a 2nd in Class Award. Great setting for a show. Better cars this year than last. Classes were weird. It
was the first time the Cadillac V16 competed with an Issotta Fraschini. Needless to say and as mentioned
above, the later as opposed to the former took the First In Class Award.

Monday - Thursday 1/11 to 1/14 - Clean-up week at the Flying A Garage. Starting to get the 1942 Packard
Darrin ready for the Packard International  Meet  on 1/30/10.

Saturday - 1/16/10 -  I made a plastic lens for the interior vanity light on the 1966 RR. Interesting experience! It
cam out well for my first attempt at molded plastics. ALSO!!! Recieved my February Hemmings. Page 64-65 had
a story about the Palos Verdes Concours including a picture of the 1942 Packard Darrin.

Sunday - 1/17/10 -  Car starting day. Rain kept the cars inside. Amazingly, the 6 cars chosen for operation
started right up without prodding or an amazing amount of starter fluid. All batteries were charged. This was a
unique experience.

Tuesday  - Saturday 1/19 - 1/23 - Arizona Auctions. Will the Flying A Garage grow? I will not leave you in
suspense . . . .NO!

Saturday - 1/30/10 - Packard International Club Meet - Some new cars, mainly the same old gang. Entered the
1942 Packard Darrin for the 100th time and it was awarded for at least the 4th time, "Best Sports Motif." Next
event is the Desert Classic at La Qunita on 2/28/10. Entered
is the 1930 Cadillac Roadster.
