For the second time in three years the Camaro was
selected to pace the Indy 500, and Chevrolet
capitalized on the occasion by releasing 3,675
limited-edition “Pace Car Replicas” in both coupe
(RPOZ10) and convertible form (Z11). The cars
featured a Dover White body with Hugger Orange Z/28
style hood and deck lid stripes.
The Pace Car Replicas were the best of the Camaros
as they came equipped with both Super Sport and
Rally Sport options that included deluxe interior
and center consol instrumentation. The Camaro on
display is equipped with a 350ci, 300hp V-8 engine
and four speed manual transmission with Hurst
linkage.
The 1969 Camaro RS/SS is a certified Milestone Car. |
