Cadillac
1959 Eldorado Biarritz

Monstrous, gigantic, outrageous are the only adjectives that adequately describe the fins on the 1959 Cadillac. Adding to this extreme is twin moon-rocket tail lamps. It is no wonder that this model is the ultimate dream machine from America’s fabled era of fins. It has been immortalized in movies, television, and advertising. Scale models of the ’59 Eldorado have been sold throughout the world by the tens of thousands. It remains a supreme example of space-age styling, the zenith of nostalgia invoking Fifties design.

The Eldorado Biarritz was well appointed with every available Cadillac accessory as standard equipment. Customers had the option of mixing and matching exterior and interior colors, leather textures, and carpets. The turquoise leather seat inserts was a special order color. Only 100 Biarritz’s were manufactured with the optional bucket seats.

All Cadillac Eldorados came equipped with a 390 cubic inch, 345 horsepower V-8 engine with triple two barrel carburetors. Only 1,320 Biarritz’s were manufactured in 1959. Manufacture’s Suggested Retail Price was $7,401.00.
